Artifact 1: Peer Review Training
Description of the Artifact:

The artifact, Peer Review Training, was created as a design plan to train faculty members on the process of participating in the Peer Review Initiative at Roane State Community College.  This project was an accumulative effort from the IT 578 Development Team. During the design phase of the Peer Review Training Project, I was presented with the opportunity of designing Module 3, Constructive Criticism & Meaningful Feedback.

Entry Rationale:

The  artifact is to demonstrate my knowledge in coding within the HTML/CSS programming language and applying principles to create a visually pleasing design while working in a Learning Management System.

Alignment to my Career Goals:

I can create accessible tables, graphics, and templates.  Also, I can incorporate graphics and chunk content together to present the learner instructional materials that took the design principles of alignment, contrast, repetition, and proximity.

Professional Standards: The artifact aligned to the AECT Standard 2 and ISTE Standard C 1-3.

Indicators:

  • AECT Standard 2.3 (Computer-Based Technology)

  • ISTE Standard 2c

  • ISTE Standard 3c

Artifact 2: Module I Learning Disabilities in Adults Education
Description of the Artifact:

The artifact, Module 1 Learning Disabilities in Adult Education, was created as a visual model to train K-12 educators on the awareness of teaching adults with learning disabilities. The design process of this artifact consists of two storyboards that demonstrated the design concept of the training module.

Supporting Documents:

Storyboard: Module 1 Learning Disabilities in Adult Education

Storyboard: Video for Learning Disabilities in Adult Education

Entry Rationale:

This artifact is to demonstrate my knowledge in meeting the client needs by developing a creative and engaging learning environment for the target audience.

Alignment to my Career Goals:

I can create multiple storyboards that demonstrates the needs of the client by meeting their target expectations of the project. The storyboards allow me to implement approaches to scripting content and video presentations. This was very valuable because I was able to effectively interrupt the client needs while developing the content.

Professional Standards: The artifact aligned to the AECT Standards 2, 4 and ISTE Standard C 2-4.

Indicators:

  • AECT Standard 2.3                            (Computer-Based Technology)

  • AECT  Standard 4.3                                (Delivery System Management)

  • ISTE Standard 2c

  • ISTE Standard 3c

  • ISTE Standard 4b
