Artifact 1: Ethical Leader Statement
Description of the Artifact:

The artifact, Ethical Leader Statement, is a document that explores my values in regards to professional ethics in instructional technology. 

 

Entry Rationale:

The ethical leader document reflects my values and legal obligations in the commitments to designing, developing, and supporting learning that is accessible to everyone.  This document demonstrates my continuous knowledge and practice base in providing quality and accessible content.

 

Alignment to my Career Goals:

The ability to staying connected with individuals and community, applying best practices, and modeling good decision-making affords me an opportunity for others to evaluate my stance on legal and ethical situations.    

 

Professional Standard:

The artifact aligned to the ISTE Standard 5, Digital Citizenship.

Artifact 2: Using Unplag/Unicheck at University of Tennessee, Knoxville-All That Faculty and Students Need to Know
Description of the Artifact:

The artifact, Using Unplag/Unicheck at University of Tennessee, Knoxville-All That Faculty and Students Need to Know, is a document that illustrates my experience of working with other leaders in the field of instructional technology when creating a need analysis of an anti-plagiarism software.  

 

Entry Rationale:

This document demonstrates my ability to work with other leaders to provide recommendations and suggestions to clients and stakeholders. In this paper, my teammates and I recommendations focused on plagiarism and accessibility issues that can affect how students and faculty use an anti-plagiarism software.

 

Alignment to my Career Goals:

The ability to evaluate software to discover the needs of students, faculty, and staff fits within the scope of addressing ethical and legal issues when merging software tools into a learning environment.
